In opposition to the cliché, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I believe that beauty is how you make the most out of what you have. Of course, as much as I would like to say that inner beauty is forever golden and it is enough to reach a certain status in the society, we cannot ignore the fact that how we look like affects how other people perceive us. This is why it is important for us to take care of ourselves the best way we can.
In our modern society, many of us fail to remember that hair care is just as essential as our skin care. Most men will agree that a woman who has a well-maintained hair is truly a male magnet. You see, it’s not really how genetically blessed you are, it’s how you take care of yourself in the most holistic way possible.
Although the idea of getting a tan is truly inviting, your hair may not really relish the idea of getting sun-kissed. Overexposure to the sun will definitely cause you a dry and frizzy hair, and if left untreated, your hair will break and split easier.
Bleach Me Not
While some chemicals may help you achieve that long and shiny hair, many substances may break your hopes of having a smooth and manageable hair. Using chemicals like Sodium Hydroxide, Ammonia and Hydrogen peroxide may break your hair, leaving it dry and fragile.
Although you might want to feel sexier and prettier by straightening your hair, excessive ironing will cause your hair to break easily. To prevent this, what you need to do is use a ceramic flat iron and make sure that you use a thermal protecting lotion before you start ironing to maintain the moisture you need to avoid hair damage.
The Stroke of Hair Death
While it is important that you comb your hair, overdoing it will definitely leave your hair weak and prone to damage. Contrary to popular belief, you only need to brush and comb when needed.
Towel Off Excess?
Of course, it’s very natural for us to use a towel after having a long and relaxing bath. There is nothing wrong with this as long as you do not rub your hair with the towel because doing so would definitely weaken your hair and it will be more prone to split ends.
Now, if it’s too late and your hair already is frizzy and tangled, all you need to do isask for your friendly conditioner’s help. Aside from using it regularly will add moisture to your hair, it will definitely help you achieve that glossy shine you have long been aspiring for. However, if a bottle of conditioner may be too costly for you, you may resort to using oil—its effect is almost the same as using a conditioner, and you may buy it at a relatively cheaper price.
While using conditioners may be helpful in alleviating dryness in hair, a regular haircut will certainly cut many of your hair problems. Remember, in taking care of your hair, you don’t really need to exert much effort. Keep it light and simple.
